Just bought Headers. What do i Remove?

I just bought the hooker shorties from jegs. They don't have the air injection so I'm planning to remove the smog pump and all the equipment. Is it pretty straightforward in removing everything? Just taking out the pump and belts. Are there any other hookups or mods that I have to consider? Also what's the best way to put in headers?

I just did headers on my 89RSconvt. I removed the steering shaft for ease on the driver side. Only takes a few minutes to get the shaft out of the way. On the passenger side, I dropped the starter down and the header literally fell into place. I did pull my dipstick tube. View the tech article on removing the AIR pump and correct belt routing. Good luck.
