Camaro, I assume? The dual snorkel and a KN filter will impress you.

The only problem I had is with that hot air tube. It doesn't hook up. It doesn't seem to make a difference, but I did keep my old single snorkel for when I have to pass smog.

The heat stove tube, which connects the exhaust manifold with the driver's side snorkel, fits exactly like your stock piece--the whole business is a direct replacement. How would smog be affected? One suggestion: when you swap a dual snorkel in make sure that both vac motors function. If not, the doors won't open and as a consequence, you won't experience the bennies of the set-up.

In CA, that tube has to be hooked up, like every other emissions-related piece that came on the car.

But, it's on the same side. You can just go to Auto Zone or Checkers and get a piece of that tubing (it's 1¾", hangs on a rack not far from the air filters) amd hook it right up.

That's the best posible air cleaner you could use. It gives your engine 2 ducts instead of one, of cold air instead of hot under-hood air like an open element would. It;s the way to go.

Incidentally, the vacuum closes the doors when it's cold, it's not needed to open them when hot. Their "normal" position is open.

It impressed me! Even on a bone stock 305 it made a very noticable power and sound improvement.
