If you still have a q-jet you can use the ac idle compensator solenoid. I use to have one hooked up and it worked ok but I dident use it very often.

I prefer to go out, freezing cold or not. I just like the feeling of sitting in the seat, pushing in the clutch, pumping the gas, and turning the key. I just love that feeling. Yes, I am obseesed with my car.

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
The biggest concern would be that your car has to start the same way under all conditions (hot start, cold start, -35° +110° ) such as half a pump of the pedal, then crank for 3 seconds and be able to run unattended (no pumping of the throttle to keep it alive when cold). It would be easy to flood a warm engine, or starve a cold one.
