You'll need
1) An engine block
2) A crankshaft
3) A timing set
4) A degree wheel
5) A dial indicator w/ a magnetic base
6) A solid roller lifter (which can be made from a hyd roller)
7) A piece of thick wire to use as a pointer (a piece of a coat hanger works from me)
8) A connecting rod with a piston attached to use with a piston stop
9) A crank snout tool to turn the crank with
10) A long rachet or breaker bar
11) A pad of paper
12) A calculator
13) A set of instructions on how to read a cam using the tools I listed
14) At least an hour of your time
15) A bottle of Excedrine after you're done
