Car: Pontiac TransAm -84 Engine: 305 Transmission: TH700R4 | What gasoline/octane? Yesterday I bought my first amcar, a TransAm -84, 305 LG4. I know that a former owner has modified/"cut" the heads, so the comp is now ca 10,3:1 (Ehh..is there a "standard" comp.value when doing this work?) But what fuel/gasoline shall I use. Here in Norway we only have 95 Roz and 98 Roz( both unleaded). 95 is cheaper. I belive that the engine in stock-mode only need about 88-92Roz (am I right?), but is 95 enough? The engine also have a edelbrock performer rpm. And a spesial filter/intake. No headers, but a lovely thick high performance exhaust-system(Simons). All cat and emission-control yunks are gone I will use the next days to know more about my car. | | |
