Mine don't have anything in front of the part#. Does this mean they are cast?
I also found the 2244 part number listed on an NHRA list of stock replacement parts (for whatever that is worth). Beyond that, i don't see much reference to these pistons on the net, aside from some small individual sites.
Is there a way to tell from just looking at the piston?
That is absolutely an option- I see TRW is actually a giant company, will just be a matter of getting hold of someone in the right division. I also see the 2244P part# tied into the Sealed Power name. Do you know if Sealed Power *edit (maybe Speed Pro?)* is part of or a distributor for TRW?
Anyone else?
Thanks!
S-D (Veer)
I guess I could change my sig from S-D to V-D, but that might convey the wrong message.......

Thats a Sealed Power Piston. Sealed Power is tied in with TRW and several other names such as Speed Pro, Fel-Pro, and i think even Moog. Federal Mogul owns the distribution and part dies for those, and i think a few more, companies.
You are correct. It is in the rule book. So it has to be a flat top piston. Other than that, there isnt too much data other than summit sells them for about $30 per piston.
