Ram Air

How well does air flow underneath our cars? Read on...
86 Z with dual snorkel...I didn't want to rob the rad of any air, plus it would have been a tight fit after cutting the plastic under the hood latch, so, after removing the charcoal canister, I cut a hole where it used to be. I ran some dryer hose from the air cleaner down to a dryer vent which I slid through the hole. The battery was in my way on the other side, but I'm about ready to move it and do the same over there. SO...here's the question...will I be getting enough air flow to achieve ram air, or should I axe the scoop and just make it a cold air set-up?

Actually, I'm in the process of doing the same thing. Well on the left side anyway and will be using an air pickup supplied with the kit i've bought on the battery side.
Check out http://www.ramairbox.com/ They have some good attachments etc you may find usefull.
As for your question, looks like i'm about to find out, The way I see it is if you supply cold air under some sort of pressure it's got to be good? will keep you posted. Thanks.

The thought had crossed my mind, but I'm on a tight budget. Besides, I like my hood.
