Derale Fan Relay isnt working need somthing else

I Bought the derale adjustable fan relay. It works when You control it with the AC but it wont turn on by itself with the temp. I Tried heating the sensor up with a small torch but it didnt work. Im not impressed with the sensor that goes in the radiator fins I think the sensor needs to be in the intake manifold where the heat is. Does anybody know of a better fan swith that will screw in the manifold.

Im not sure what the one they use looks like, but I have been using one made by Hayden for years and never had a problem. It has 2 wires coming off of it running to a relay box.
Hayden also makes one that screws into a 3/8" NPT hole wherever you want to put it, but I'm not positive that one is adjustable. I think it is, but go check it out.

I've been using the Hayden one as well and have had no problems with it so far.
