KROGER Gas? is it really that bad?

i have heard mixed reviews on buying gas from places like Kroger and Sam's Club and all other places that are generally cheaper to buy per gallon i fyou have a member card...

what is the deal on this fuel? is it bad or less processed than others like i hear? or is it good to buy from these places cause they are always replenishing their supplies (from people buying the "cheap" gas)

i have a Kroger right up the street from me that wants $1.76 for super...the BP across the street wants $1.89. so i think you can see where my curriosity comes from...

It all comes out of the same tanks at your local refinery. Maybe even delivered out of the same tanker truck. It might have a slightly different additive package from some other gas; or their tanks might be dirty; but other than that, it's all pretty much the same.

Well, I work at a Meijer Pet & Garden center, so naturally I get my gas where I work....and yes, it's a little cheaper than the other places around here, but it's just as good as far as I can tell.

All gas comes from the same pipeline in your area and loaded on ths same tanker trucks and delived to different brand stations. But still is the same gas, so you figue it out.

In areas with "oxygenated" gas, that really isn't true. Some use MTBE, others alcohol (some you have no idea what they put it the tank that week).

FWIW, I've never seen any difference using 91 octane pump gas or "race gas" out at the track. But, I always buy from the majors for the "race car", will get the cheapest available for the Camaro (and all other vehicles).
