Anyone built a vortec 383?

I want to build an engine for my Trans Am. I am thinking of building a 383 stroker with a set of vortec heads. Has anyone built any 350 or 383 engine with vortec heads on it that has worked really good? I currently run a 305 with vortecs and I get my butt kicked by everyone in town! If these heads are even worth using give me a shout.
P.S.- If anyone knows the airflow data on those heads it would be much appreciated!
Matt

305 ...vortec the 2 just arent made for each other! the 305 utilizes 58cc chambers and vortecs use the 64cc's !!so you actually gained flow but,..lost power due to the fact that your using toooo big of cc chambered heads they'll work fine with a 350 or 383 if either of these engines(350 383) are for high perf. use get new springs! the ones that come with the heads SUCK! but for a 305 you lost poer and THATS WHY YOUR LOSING TO EVERYONE!!!the stock 305 smog crap heads are better for your ...im guessing...stock 305?? put the original heads back on and see if you dont lose a lot less!

I totaly agree with burnoout, The heads you have on the engine hurt it badly because they are 64cc. The 58cc are much better heads because the increse the compression ratio dramaticlyon any engine. You probably droped from 8 to 7.
And if you have the dished pistons you could have droped even more compression than that. The vortech heads are great for domed piston setups with a 305 but thier not for small cube low compression engines. Vortech 64's should work great on a 350 or 383.
