ok I seem to have a small oil leak.. at least It looks like oil.. it's leaking from the front right side of the block at the first intake bolt. standing in front of the vehicle first right intake bolt..
is that an oil passage in there? someone told me to just remove it and put some gm pipe sealant and retorque it.. I haven't tried that but I did try just retorquing it.. without success. leaks very little and only when the engine is hot.. makes a very small puddle on the intake around that bolt..

There arnt any pressurized oil passages going through the heads, jsut return passages. It may be possible to have oil come through. I was lazy and never used any sealants on my bolts, though, and never noticed any leaks.
The coolant crossover passages are near there and maybe coolant is seeping out past the gasket. It could be coolant, which can attract dirt and look pretty nasty after awhile. Is it greasy like oil?

it seems to be greasy. my intake/engine is very clean and I had wiped it all up before retorquing the bolts. I drove for about 1/2 hour to get it nice and hot.. and there was a little oil again.. unless it was what was left sitting under the engine lift bracket.. which is held by that bolt.
Just pull the boltd one at the time and put a little sealer on them. The bolts can wick oil up and leak it onto your intake. it is very common with intake swaps.
