quick fan switch question

Do I need to use any rtv or anything when replacing the fan switch? Thanks.

You shouldnt have to but if it does leak i would suggest a small bit of liquid teflon tape.

Thanks. I have one from autozone, only $6, looks like the thread area is a bit longer. Would that still work? It looks like there is some threads sticking out on the sensor on the other head.

Should still work fine. Just be carfull to put the teflon only on the areas that will contact the block.
