ok.. just wondering because.. when I had the engine built the guy ordered the wrong valve covers.. the pcv ended up at the rear of the engine on the ps side instead of the front. I thought if I put that vavle cover on the ds then the pcv ends up at the front and it's closer to route to the tb. only thing is the oil filler/breather will end up at the rear on the ps side.
The PCV is supposed to be at the front driver's side, with the oil fill at the rear driver's side. The fresh air side of the PCV system is supposed to be at the rear pass side.
If you have the oil fill at the rear pass side, most likely that valve cover is backwards, and the rocker arms will hit it on the push rod side.
But as far as the PCV function, it doesn't matter which side is which; as long as there's a gozinta for the fresh air on one side, and a cumzotta for the PCV valve itself on the other side, and somewhere to add oil (optional actually since you can add it through one of the others), and the valve covers aren't backwards.

the prefferd setup is PCV on the drivers side, breather on the passenger side... mostly because the "wind" generated by the spinning crank is helpful...
but its still effective when the components are swapped from side to side.
