I'm having a weird oil leak. I've pretty much checked everywhere on the engine and it appers to be coming from the heads. I know its not the intake manifold and it has new head gaskets. The valve cover look to be dry. I even sealed the plugs on the top rear of the engine. When its running it appears to be seeping from between the head and block on both sides. It looks that way from the bottom and top. Anyone have the same problem? Any ideas?

When you sealed the intake, did you put a generous line of gasket sealant on the china walls, and then some nice big globs in the corners? That is the most fool proof way to make sure it seals good. A buddy didnt put the globs in the corners, and his did almost the exact same thing as yours.

Its possible but I did use alot of sealant. I had it running with a mirror back there and I swear it looks like the heads. This is the second time this has happened with the same heads and intake manifold. I guess I could pull the intake again and reseal it. Its just that I did everything while the engine was out to make sure I wouldn't have this problem again.
i had the same problem at work this week on a 90 ford 302, it looked like it was coming from the heads, i didn't think the intake was leaking, but my boss had my pull the tranny and check the rear main, and when i did, i permatexd the rear of the intake, put it back together and it doesn't leak now. i still don't see where it could have been leaking.
