I got my setup off an 89 305 at the local junkyard. About $150 for all the brackets, bolts, pulleys, and accessories(ps pump, alt.). To run the serpentine setup without a/c I think you will need an a/c delete pulley. There should be a tech article in the tech section about how to route the belt and which belt to use with no smog pump. Of course you will need the proper water pump like an Edelbrock 8881.

www.tacreationsusa.com has a setup for ya for $200 bux everything you need...but the shipping will eat you up cause everything together(2boxes) weighs about 100lbs. I got it and everything went pretty smooth had to buy a connector for the alternator and I'm still looking for a connector for the A/C

Instead of getting a A\C delete pully you can get a idler pully off of a 3.8 and drill a hole into the top of your A\C bracket and run the belt over it.

The tacreations stuff works great. John, give them another call, they have the a/c line too.

How hard would it be to convert my factory 83 v-belt setup to serpentine? Doesnt the tacreations kit need a reverse flow water pump? Will a reverse flow pump work with a SBC400?
