Overheating stopped after pressure test

Not a thirdgen but oh well.........My buddy has a 4th gen firebird w/ the 3.4. He had been loosing coolant and overheating for a while and he took it to the local garage where they did a pressure test. They found no leaks after the test. Since then there has been no overheating problems. They did no maintenance what-so-ever. What is going on??? Little help here.

probably because the thermostat was sticking. when they pressure tested the system, it freed the thermostat. it will come back in the near future.
