Tach filter???????Help!!!!PLEASE

Ok I got my MSD box today and I am having a problem with my tach. At 3,000 rpm it falls all the way back to 0 so I called Summit and they told me to bypass the tach filter, ok no prob. but where in the hell is it at. I can't find it anywhere. I used the plug in harness for the box so I wouldn' have this problem. Can anyone help me out????

Thanks

It's a little silver can mounted to the firewall right behind the distributor. It has 2 wires coming out of it; one plugs into the dist TACH terminal, the other has a wire from the harness plugged into it. Unplug both of the filter wires and plug the harness wire (tan, IIRC) directly into the box adapter.

Mine does not have anything behind the dis.
And you said tan wire you must be talking about old HEI with the coil in the cap. I have new HEI with the coil sitting off to the side. I was told the filter might be in the wiring harness??? I know I have one but I can't find it anywhere. I also know it should be in line with the white wire...but there again I can't find it. Someone please help....!!!!!!

Thanks
