Will these roller rockers work under center bolt valve covers?

I'm looking to get some 1.5 roller rockers for my 87 Trans Am 350 TPI and I'm looking at the 1.5 Roller Rocker Arms from Summit p/n SUM-G6905 for $159.50 Will these fit under the center bolt valve covers without any clearance problems? Is anyone using them? Right now I have the CompCams 1.6 Steel Roller Tip Rockers. I have quite a bit of valve train noise with my LT4 Hotcam and was hoping the 1.5 rollor rockers would help quite it down and bring the lift down also. Thanks, Jason

i doubt if they're self aligning and good chance you need SA rockers. if your rockers have little ribs at the tips where it contacts the valve you need SA.

I have crane gold 1.5 rockers and they fit under the valve covers, and that is with the *** backwards twisted wedge head. If they Crane Gold's will fit, I'm sure the ones from summitt will.

You can also buy adapters so you can use perimeter bolt covers.

Well, I did install guide plates on my heads so It would not matter is there not self aligning or not right? On the Crane Gold rocker arms they say they are narrow to fit under the center bolt valve covers. I'll just call Summit tomorrow to see if they know if they will fit. I'm hopeing the roller rockers will help quite the valve train. Thanks for the replies. Jason
