I am in the process of changing my Holley street avenger from electric choke to manual choke. I have it together...mostly. But I cannot figure out how you are supposed to make the fast idle work. I do not see how it could at all. For now I am going to try to get the cable bracket on there and use it. Just wondering if anyone have a picture of a holley manual choke up close so I could compare.
hmm...looks like I may possibly have my assembly mounted upside down. And I mounted my cable holder underneath using the very long screws and some nuts I had.
It is working good now. I just can't figure out how to mount up fast idle stuff. So right now I have nothing on that section.
I will take a good look at it tomorrow and see. I do not see how I can mount it like that picture...I will have to check it out and see what I have done. But it is working.
:::edit::: I have the quick change out secondary housing. So I couldn't mount the bracket on it like its supposed to be. But that was just a minor detail.
It didn't work. And barely worked when it was brand new. Sometimes it would stick and not even move. Now it is pretty much locked up. It stuck in the upper most position and can't even be forced to move.
I have had a lot of problems from this holley carb. Damn street avengers.
