Help me with head choice for boosted motor.
Well, I have decided without much thought that the L98 aluminum heads that I have are not worth putting back on my motor. I still am going to have a 350 ci, but have replaced everything in it except for the crank, which was forged anyways(forged rods/pistons). I am putting a D1SC Procharger on with around 12-15lbs of boost, and I wanted a good flowing set of heads. I have been looking at the AFR 195's, Dart Pro 1's, and Brodix Track 1's. I'm kinda partial to the 195's cause even though it is supercharged, the Darts and Brodix heads have big intake runners, and the lower lift flow numbers are better on the 195's. It also looks like I am going to have to have the heads milled down to 58cc or 64cc at highest because the compression ratio might be too low otherwise. Compression ratio now is 8.71:1 with a 58cc head. Thoughts/suggestions anyone?

Depending on how much boost you run the 8.5:1-9.0:1 compression is perfect. I was looking at putting a turbo on the TA and looked at the AFR 210 cc heads. I was going for a below 9:1 compression setup so I could run 12-15 lbs of boost...

Just called AFR for thier input, and they suggested the 210's, so they are ordered...7 weeks wait.

Make sure you inspect them well before using also. I found a small disc in my 210s from where they were cutting out the coolant passages. I didn't even notice till I tilted the head to one side getting ready to put it on after it came back from the shop.

speaking from experience your not going to like how the lowend treats you with 210's, i bolted on a friends set of 190's and it was much better bottom end and for daily type driving.
he was also suggested by AFR for 210s on a turbo 383, so we traded straight up, his bottom end was just like mine, while his rpm range over 5000 was really nice...
210s are trash imo

Were you running an auto? I have a six speed and 4.10's, so getting up in the rpm band isn't that big of a deal, and this car is definately not a daily driver so...I was mainly worried about the exhaust ports being big enough to get rid of the spent gasses. If all else fails, guess I'll have to go with a smaller gear.
