The cam is pretty noticeable. I have it in my 357ci with 9.75:1comp, sdpc vortec heads, 1.6:1 roller rockers, etc. As far as i know i'm pushings around 440-450flywheel hp. It's fun but i should have got the next cam bigger.

Re: Sound clip of CC XE274H?

I have that cam in my 350 - Holley 750, MSD ign, Headers, Hooker exhaust, 200cc World heads, 10:1 CR.

Its not really lopey (mine idles around 850rpm) but its definitely got some lump to it. It doesn't sound very tame unless the engine its in is 400ci+. It idles alot like some of the bigger muscle car cams from back in the day, but makes alot more power and much better driveability. I love that cam. Its great out at the track, but its actually pretty nice on the street too (though, I have a stick, not auto)... it was my daily driver for a whole year with that cam.

Re: Sound clip of CC XE274H?

Holy flasback Batman!! I forgot about this post. Ya I went with this cam and Im pretty satisfied with it, power-wise and overall sound of the motor. Ive actually got a sound clip of it, but its really crappy. Ive been meaning to post up another one thats actually worth a damn. Only downside is it's a little different driving in traffic with a T5 with this thing compared to stock. but other than that, definitely a great flat tappet cam to go with
