Dipstick tube differences?

Just pulled out my old bent dipstick tube and need to buy a new one. However there's 2 tube for the year of my engine ('87). Once is a Corvette tube (14084338 $35) and a Camaro one (14101124 $15). Is there a huge difference? The engine was originally out of a Vette, but I would think it would make a whole lot of difference.

Also, If I don't want to buy a tube from the General, is there a cheaper legitimate alternative? Chrome maybe?

Many places have "universal" tubes/sticks that you can bend around headers, etc...then add your oil and mark the stick...try the normal places, Jegs, PAW, Summit, etc, plus could probably find them locally at your favorite DAP like Kragen,PepBoys, AutoZone, etc...

I'd think the only difference between the Vette and Fbody would be how it's bent, the exhaust manifolds on the engine may be different...

So, assuming you had a 1pc seal block, and still have a 1pc seal block...from '87-up, I'd go with what exhaust manifold setup your using...just my opinion.
