Where is the fast idle relay located?

On a 86 carbed Z? thanks

What, did I say that yoiu did not under stand? is that not the name of it? I brought a relay and I am not sure which it is under the hood there are 2, that look the same, one is by the raditaor and the other is on the drivers side firewall.

one of them is a fog light relay i believe... get a wiring schematic and see what color the wires are..

Hmmmm.....

There's no such thing as a fast idle relay. It's a carb. There's a choke thermostat, that works a bunch of linkage, one piece of which gets in the way of the throttle shaft from returning as far as it otherwise would when the choke thinks it's cold.

What are you really asking? That is, what does the car do that you don't like, or not do that you wish it did?

There isn't a fast idle relay. As previously stated, the fast idle is a mechanical function of the carb. How long it stays on is determined by the electric choke coil. You have an electric choke relay, and an oil pressure switch above the oil filter in the electric choke circuit. What is the car doing that makes you think the relay is bad?

Well I was haveing a problem that I am not having anymore, and the dealer sold me this relay and I even seen it in the book, and that was what it was called, they will not take it back because it was a special order pieace so i figured I should just use it. Maybe I could get a part numbe rfor you? would that help? Thanks
