Heater Hoses Going Into Firewall, Questions About Electric Water Pump??

well i purchased a proform electric water pump, along with mid mount alternator brackets, new march pulleys. well the new electric water pump doesnt have an inlet for one of the hoses coming from the firewall?

how do those hoses work, does one flow coolant, and the other flows coolant out?

what would happened if i just blocked one of them off? obviously the only one that would be hooked up would be the heater hose from the firewall to the intake. is this fine, and i just block off the other one?

oh my motor is a '72 dont think that makes a difference, the firewall is still the same, its an 86 T/A.

and if im lookin at the firewall from the front of the car, the nose, does the hose coming from the intake go to the left or right inlet on the firewall? thanks for your help in advance.

Basically the way it works is the smaller hose on the higher pressure side of the cooling system carries coolant to the core and the larger one on the lower pressure side carries coolant back to the water pump, or to the radiator. If you block a hose off, you wont have any coolant flow through the heater core, and no heat.

ok so the small one goes to the intake, big one goes to the water pump.

why would they make electric water pumps without the inlet for the house then? can i re-direct it anywhere else

and i dont absolutely need heat as i only drive the car in the summer, will this damage anything?

If you dont need heat, then you can just leave the heater core disconnected.

The reason the electrics dont have that is that theyre for race use. Alot of the later stock pumps also omitted that as the heater return hose went to the radiator instead.

well mine is going to be mostly street, some race. but i thought electric would inprove cooling along with no pulley, so i thought it would help with power also, because im adding march pulleys for the crank/PS/alternator

is this a bad idea?
