Holly Volumax pump quick question

my Volumax 160 has a return fitting. I didn't know this till I get it. I was planning on having my return line go to the fuel cell in the back.

Is it better to return to the tank, or use the fitting on the pump. The second way meens that the fuel would just return to the pump and head back to the carb again.

I know it doesn't make a differnce but i would like to know if there are even tinny benefits with either one. Thanks.

Returning to the tank would insure a cooler fuel temp. If you return to the pump you would just cycle hot fuel from the engine back to the engine.

That is exactly what I thought. Back to the tank it is.
