Stumped - Camaro won't start

I have an 82 Camaro with a 350, 700R4, with early holley bolt on fuel injection. This is one of the first TBI models with no O2 sensor and ***** to adjust the mixture for "choke, idle, accel pump, mid range, and power". It's worked ok for years. I installed an air/fuel gauge hoping to fine tune the mixture (I was getting lousy mileage). I turned some of the *****, came hope, the next day the car wouldn't start. I took apart the 'ECM' and found two of the adjustable resistors (*****) were stuck. I fixed them, and the car started. But when I went back the next day, it wouldn't start again. I'm getting spark, the injectors are pumping fuel, and there is compression (I checked 5 cyls with a gauge). I was thinking it jumped timing, but I doubt it cause it started before (after fixing the *****). Could the TBI be off so bad that it won't even start, or even huff/puff? This really has me stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Thanks.

I hope you have a wiring schematic for this set-up...from the sounds of it you might want to make sure you have a reference signal to the ECM.

I found the problem! My coil was shot. It was making spark, but not enough to fire it off. Moral of the story... When checking spark, make sure it's a good strong spark! I replaced my mallory pro-master coil with a new one and it fired right up. For anyone who has a pro-master: I checked the resistance across the coil and it was reading 6 ohms. It should be about 3. This was enough to make the difference. Speaking to the Mallory tech line.... Even though the instructions that come with the coil say it can be mounted at any angle, the coils need to be covered in the oil that's in the coil, if not, they might not be cooled properly. So it's better to mount it upright rather than sideways (like I did).
