Car: 83 Z-28 Engine: 305 Qjet Transmission: 700r-4 Axle/Gears: 3.73 | 87vs 93 gas effect on cam | kinda baffled, i did a swap from crossfire to tbi, and everythign i read said 87 was fine, just dont run as much advance. well with 87 i wasnt getting any power over 3800 rpm. so i figured it was the computer thus i bought a new chip. however before installing the new chip i ran my tank of 87 down to nothing and filled up with 93. after a couple miles the car started going nuts. i actually got power on the high side all the way to 5400. it was sweet still laked on pickup though. anyways what effect does the cam have on the gas you need. what does to change besides intake and exhust valve opening. | | | |
