hey guys, heres the problem, today i did a oil change, i went from running crapy normel 10w30 oil to Royal Purple 10w30, the problem is that before i did the oil change my oil pressure was about 300 but now with the new oil its 200 but most of the time its about 0 to 50. now i also i used gunk engine flush to. i know i did everything right, but i need some ideas, thanks guys
300 PSI?!? thats way to much pressure. Ok you changed oil, Did you go to just standard royal purple or fully synthetic? Synthetics have been known to cause lower oil pressure on some applications due to parts being worn and the oil is more slipprey. The nice thing about synthetics on high performance is they well produce better oil pressure when hot cause they are a more stable oil. At least according to what the oil manufacturers told me at the last seminar that I went to.

its full synthetic, i not sure about my guage, all i know is when i start the car it shows 300 but when the motor warms up my oil presser go's to crap. when im stoped at a light or something it shows 0. could it be the oil presser sending unit going bad when the car starts to warm up?
