Car: 1985 Trans AM Engine: 305 TPI 5.0L | Where to pour Oil!!!
I went out today spent around 58$ in filters and such and oil but i ran into a problem i pop open my hood and look in there is no spout for the oil pour in i see on the power steering in front with the belt hooked up (greenish Yellow color i see the dip stick for Oil then the dip stick for tranny but no spot that screams pour oil here. Sorry about this but im just damn confused.

Car: '82 Z28 Engine: 350 Transmission: TH400 4,000 stall Axle/Gears: Currie 9", 4.56 gears | Stock valve covers should have an oil cap, they don't always necessarily say OIL. Since I don't have stock valve covers, I just remove the PCV valve and take my time pouring the oil through that hole into the valve cover. | |

| Which all reminds me of the old urban legend/tale about the novice service station attendant (Anyone remember those - People who actually pumped your gas, checeked your fluids, washed the windows, checked tires, etc.? ) after checking the oil and discovering it was a quart low, he added oil by pouring it all over the engine. The explanation was that "The entire engine needs oil, so I put it everywhere." | |

Car: 1985 Trans AM Engine: 305 TPI 5.0L | gave up on changing the oil today when spending about 45 mins trien to get the oil pan bolt off so i finished off setting up the intake.
anypointers on getting stuborn bolt to move? | |

as for the intake was just finishing up installing the duct part as my car didn't have one to start with. | |

| So you spent 45 minutes trying to get the drain plug out and still didn't I gather, and don't know where to put the oil back in once you get the old oil out. So you decided to "set up the intake" instead.
I'm the one confused!

Well to help Clear things up i bought this car from a junk yard the car was stripped and also modified engine wise when i get my film devolped i'll post some before and after pics.
Here is the pic of the valve covers that are installed I know there Chevy but they got them to fit some how this is why i asked the question where to pour the oil. Edelbrock Classic Cast Aluminum Valve Covers: EDL-4145 - summitracing.com
As for the intake i was worken on the whole setup was missing filter, box, Maf, and ductwork
As for the drain plug the car was last driven in june of 99
(no frame rot only major thing was interior is shot)

| I would suspect the engine is an earlier model if it doesn't have center bolt valve covers. Check the numbers, it could be anything. | |

Alright smart people...are you> | If it is pre '68 then it will have a vent tube at the back of the intake by the dizzy that was a crankcase vent (also called a road tube or something like that) that worked like blowing over a straw to vent oil vapors so it would not sludge. You could fill it there. Otherwise you will have to fill it though your dipstick tube.

And his block is newer than '70.
