Anyone using one of the new Lunati Voodoo cams? Curious of what you think of it. I am in the process of building a stock bore 400 2 bolt main with the LUN60104LK cam kits with their matching springs kits for my Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Heads, the cam comes in at .504"/.525" GVL with 110/106 LSA and .276int/.284exh adv duration. I still have to figure out the cc of my piston since it is dished, the piston sits down in the hole .025", but I need to get cc of the piston to determine how much to deck the heads to get to 10-10:5:1 compression for this motor. My 700R4 trans with 2400+ stall convertor is built for the power and torque and the rear end is also. Thanks for any input you may have..

Yea, I ran a 60103 in my 350 briefly. I wiped 4 lobes off it though, so I ended up with a compxe268 (was in stock, didn't want to wait another 3 weeks for another lunati cam).
It was a nice cam though, the 60103 is essentially between the xe268 and 274, with slightly more aggressive ramps then comps xe series.
"blackgold84TA" I think is one guys name, he's got the 60103 with trickflow heads. And a dynosheet, 400HP IIRC. I think he was trying to sell his car though.
That cam should work nice for you, I think it's a 232/238 ish cam or something? Similar to the xe274? It won't feel very aggressive in a 400cid though, just so you know. It'll be fairly tame.
According to the tech sheet, the duration @.050" runs at .233int/.241exh. From the lunati web site, the 60104 will work with the rest of the combo of 75o holley, air gap dual plane manifold and the 2400+ stall convertor in the trans. I run 3.73 gears and hope it will run good.
Vincent Z28 runs one but with the intake duration around the 226 degree mark. His car makes just a tad over 370rwhp with a 355 motor. Has run something like 12.42 in the quarter. Not a bad cam at all.
Yes, you are right when you say that I need to get the break-in done according to their instructions. I plan on using Shell Rotella oil for diesel motors since it has the additives that will aid in break-in. My engine building friend says that is the best way to go and I will use the 15-40w oil that I see at the parts store. My hope is that I can get everything dialed well enough with no major leaks to allow me to get through the break-in period. I think this engine will definately move my Z-28 quite nicely. I hope to run 1/4 mile this summer to see what it will finally run with this combo.

I used pennzoil 30wt (lunati calls for a straight 30wt oil), and a can of GM EOS. I'd highly recommend you run the motor over by hand a few times to make sure no pushrods bind or anything, that will cause certain death.
I will keep that in mind and as I said above , the Rotella oil seems to still have the additives that have been take out of car motor oil such as zinc and a few others. I think it will be a runner that's for sure. Thanks for the replies..
