First no start, then no fuel pump after sitting three days

After replacing the ignition switch and disarming stupid viper alarm, my mechanic was able to get my car to run again. Now, if it sits the pressure bleeds down and the fuel pump will not engage when the key is turned. It will start like it has a carb on it and then run fine. It starts normal if started every other day. He suggested a manual switch to prime the fuel pump, I want it fixed right. Someone here knows! Please help. Thanks. Eric

Check your fuel pump relay and associated wiring.

Re: First no start, then no fuel pump after sitting three days

fuel pump relay has been replaced with new GM unit, the mechanic has tested the wiring in many places, which he said has been done before, which makes me think it was a long standing problem. People lie often when they sell cars...

The real issue now is the fuel pump not energizing after bleeding down. Why would it do this?
