Re: best place to get 30lb SVO ford injectors?!?

and what style fits? EV1 or EV6 etc....

also will 30lb injectors be able to support 500crank HP and at what pressure would i have to run them?

my setup is...

383 shortblock around 9.1-9.5 comp
patriot 195cc aluminum heads flowing 260cfm at .5 and 270 at .6 lift roughly
XFI comp cams 280/288 duration, 230/236 at .5, .567/.570" lift with 1.6rr, op range 2g-6g
HSR mild smoothing of runners/very mild porting 1-2" from contact of head
holley fuel rails with adj reg
58mm professional products TB
new speed pro OEM roller lifters and .100 longer comp cams xtreme energy pushrods
cloyes true double roller
gona get a grannelli high flow MAF
march underdrive pullies
custom chip yadda yadda

and 30lb injectors if theyd be enough to support my theoretical HP lol

Re: best place to get 30lb SVO ford injectors?!?

Would have to find paperwork but just order the
Ford SVO #30 injectors, mine have a red top.
Am running setup close to yours and no problems.
Am running more comp, lift and duration than you are.
Running the big Walbro pump and Racetronics wiring
kit.

Make sure you setup chip for the new injectors.
My Dynoed HP& Torque over 500 and duty cycle on injectors
under 75%, so yes should handle setup. Think alot of people go overboard on injector sizing and have to drop
pressure to compensate for fueling and end up with spray
pressure problems.
Just my personel opinion.

Re: best place to get 30lb SVO ford injectors?!?

are they differant from the brown top turbo coupe ones? i ask since the turbo coupe ones are rated at a differant impedence than normal ford injectors, and the svo and turbo coupe motors are identical, so i would think they are the same. i know when you build a turbo motor out of a n/a 2.3l ford motor injector impedence is an issue

Re: best place to get 30lb SVO ford injectors?!?

I planed my setup for no boost as you see, with almost
11-1 comp so I don't know about the impedence issues
with turbo and different injector types.
Researched injector sizing for HP and reliability and the
SVO-30# seemed the way to go. Was worried about duty
cycle at WOT. With the 340M walbro and AFR pretty sure
I'm good for 550 after tweaking my combo.
Going NOS single stage at about max 150hp next.
Can't afford a Z06, Just run like one

Re: best place to get 30lb SVO ford injectors?!?

summit wanted 310$ for the injectors so it woulda been 320$ total shipped but i found a place in NJ that sells 30lb SVO brand new injectors for 219$!!!!!!! shipped lol ford racing prices them at 230$ so that means summits making almost 100$ profit off them. i wonder wat the make off the other stuff...

"cant afford a Z06, just run like one" ha so true but i plan on beaten 'em

also jaykar wats the lph on that walbro pump... i was gona go wit an edelbrock/BBK/holley 255lph for the intank highflow replacements but idk if they will flow enough, i think they would...

Re: best place to get 30lb SVO ford injectors?!?

As to the Walbro 340M pump its the one they recommend
for boosted applications. Its there biggest pump and don't
know if its volumm or pressure above the 255LPH pump.
Just wanted the best.
And the Racetronics wiring kit takes its voltage directly
off the alternator- cheap insurance.
As to the Z06s, have run 2 already and they didn't like
the results. But also have a couple heavily modded Z0s
including one with twin turbos hidden behind the front
tire wells that would definately be a problem
Running (full) Spohn suspension with good rubber and
that makes a big difference.

(Don't) do or like street racing and we have a old unused highway
out of town we test at.
