Hi guys, I just worked on an LT1 in a Road master today, and noticed how small and light the mini starter is on that engine. Does anyone know if that same mini starter will bolt up to my Gen I block??

Re: Will LT1 mini starter bolt up to older engines?
Ok thanks! Auto parts stores have crappy remans for like $150 but there are a bunch of all new ones on ebay for $59/each buy it now. I have no problems with my old 25 pound starter but the LT1 starter is sooo much smaller and lighter that it is nicer to change, and gives me a lot more clearance to my headers.

Caveat emptor!!!
Those are offshore knockoffs, made to "look" like and supposedly "fit" like LT1 starters; but they're NOT LT1 starters. They're cheeep imitations.
I'd go with a reman from a reliable local parts store LONG BEFORE chancing it on one of those other crappy new POSs.
