Chevy TBI-7.4L eating spark plug wires.

I have a basically a stock TBI-7.4L Chevy engine that eating spark plug wires due to high engine heat. The spark plug wires are failing at the boot 90’ bend. I do have the stock heat shields to protect the spark plug wires and stock wire holders. I’m now on my second set of limited warranty AutoZone Duralast brand spark plug wires and getting tried replacing these junk spark plug wires. The first set of spark plug wires lasted about two months before failing and the second set is stating to have the same problem, missing hard at idle. So, which brand from your experience would you recommend buying without spending a ton of money?
Thanks
Byron T (Tucson)

Re: Chevy TBI-7.4L eating spark plug wires.

What is wrong with using the OEM AC Delco wires? They usually last 150,000+ miles. GM never had problems with melting wires.

I wouldn't buy anything from AutoZone. They should change their brand name to DuraJUNK.
