Car: 1984 Camaro Z28 Engine: V8 350 ci Transmission: T-5 Axle/Gears: Posi, Disk brakes all the way aroun | Can someone help me out, My temp gauge is wack! Well i posted a question on yahoo answers, just wanted to post it here as well, thought maybe someone here would have some suggestions. Thanks
Well I have a 1991 Geo Storm, When i first start the car the temperature gauge seems to be working fine, its at C and slowing starting to go to normal temp. Shortly after driving not for but 2 blocks the temp gauge jumps really fast from C past H, there is no way the engine have heated that fast. I even made sure after long freeway driving, the engine does not overheat. The temp will read in the middle maybe little less for quite some time then it will jump past H then drop to C , I then hit the top of the dash where the gauge is and sometime i will get it to go back to the normal reading of the engine temp.
I was going to start to just place the engine temp cluster gauge with the fuel gauge as they are 1 unit. I Wanted to know if i should please the gauge cluster or perhaps its more then likely something else? please advise as I need my temp gauge to work properly, I don't want to end up with a blown head gasket because i didn't know how hot my engine temp really was. | | | |
