Loud "POP" in my car

I have an 85 Z28 with T-Tops. She's got 192 000 miles on her with an LG4 305 and a non WC T5.

When I put some pressure on the brakes and/ or make a sharp turn (in a parking lot, merge ramp, ect. Not beating on her) I hear several loud pops coming from the front right of the car.

I understand that the T Top cars are structurally weaker, but I do not know if the sound is flex or what not.

Please help!

Thanks,

Joey

Re: Loud "POP" in my car

i am assume that the "pop" you are describing sounds like suspension parts shifting. if that is what it seems like and it is non-engine related (as you described), i would post something similar on the suspension board.

i would replace ball joints and related steering parts and/or bushings.

check the stickey at the top of the suspension board titled something along the lines of "Front end suspension spreadsheet."

Re: Loud "POP" in my car

Check your stablizer bar end links. They are notorious for breaking then the two ends rub together and make alot of noise.
