Peanut Cam Part #

Does anybody know the part/ID number on the 86 peanut cam? I bought an 89 IROC with an 85-86 305 TPI, I finally replaced the cam and I would really like to know which cam was in there. The cam I got isnt much bigger than the L98 cam, but compared to the cam that came out there was a noticeable lobe size difference. If anyone can help me out I would much appreciate it. Thanks.

The flat-tappet cam installed in some 305 trucks and LG4 cars was "817". The roller was "155".

Re: Peanut Cam Part #

Since I had the heads off I figured I'd check the casting date, and as I thought it was an 86, as soon as I compard the two camshafts I knew it cause the cam I got isnt much bigger than the L98 cam and it looked like a monster compared to the cam that came out of there. Thanks for the info.
