difference in belt routing with and without a/c

ok at one point in time the ac stopped working so the previous owner decided to delete it instead of refilling it and by delete i mean cut off the a/c compressor bracket with an oxy-acetylene torch and leave everything else right where it is. so far ive already gotten rid of the condenser, resivoir and all that jazz, basically ive finshed the delete the right way. so my question is should i find a new compressor bracket and put a delete pully on it or can i clean it up and make it pretty with out problems because the belt tends to squeal now at start up and in the cold and its a brand new belt. the belts not loose because if it gets any tighter itll probably break and im thinking its the routing of the belt. any help is appreciated

Re: difference in belt routing with and without a/c

it would be cheapest to pull a bracket from the junk yard (rattle can it if you would like) and put in a delete pulley, and much more simple than the PITA belt routing issues.
