need help choosing cylinder heads

Hey all, need some help choosing which cylinder head to use. I'm building a 350 for an 86 Z28. I want to use to car for basically just to drive, but also would like decent performance. I have 2 sets of heads that are ready to bolt on. Casting #'s 14101083 and 14102193, I was told that the 193's would work best since I was planning on running a carb. I also could use some suggestions on a cam to use w/ the heads and a 600 cfm carb, possibly a 3:23 or 3:55 gear. I live in an area that is quite hilly and curvy and hope to make it perform well for this type of driving. Also thoughts on frame connectors, strut tower braces, polyurathane bushings, sway bars? Any thoughts or oppinions appreciated. Thanks

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Whoever told you to use the 193's because you're going carb should be taken off your "adviser" list. Carb or EFI is irrelevant with regard to those heads - the 193's are at their best where the factory put them, and any effort to do anything else with them is a waste of time. Bottom line - go with the 083's.

As for the rest:

Subframe connectors - an absolute must on these cars.
Strut tower brace - nice to have, but not absolutely necessary.
Poly bushings - I wouldn't use anything else.
Sway bars - bigger than factory usually helps.
