what cam is smog legal

Wanna know what cam can pass smog, give me a little power and sound, wanna good price to like a summit kit, would there .420/ .442 be smogable or could i go bigger. Another thing would i need to change the cam bearings thanx for any info

What kind of engine do you have? Carb/TBI/TPI? 305/350? We need more info.

My 226/234, .580/.570, 113 LSA camshaft just passed CA smog in my 350 TPI engine.

Generally cam bearings don't get changed with a cam swap, unless you damage them by letting the cam gouge them while you pull it out to make space for the new one.
As a valid rule of thumb, any cam that has no overlap at 0.050" lifter rise will pass any emissions test. It was true in 1990, and it's still true of the LS2.
