Battery tray/hold-down pics?

My car doesn't have a battery hold down, the battery just sits in the fenderwell. It also sits right on the metal, which I'm not sure is correct. There was a small amount of rust forming there, which I sanded off and painted over, but I'd still like to secure the battery better. Is there a factory tray/hold-down that's supposed to go here? Does anyone have pictures of how theirs is secured?

I use a battery matt available at most auto store. In answer to the above question, yes, there is a hold-down:

The longer side of the wedge, which faces toward the battery, will be shaped like this: \. Fit the upper portion over the lip of the battery's base. (Your tray should have a post toward the inner fender.) Place the wedge over the post and over the lip as above and tighten it down with a flat washer and the appropriate nut. Man, a pic IS worth a thousand words!

Oh, I've seen those things before, I didn't even think about that kind of hold down. I'm not sure if my battery actually has the lip on the bottom for it though, but I'm planning to replace the battery before too long. I will probably also drill a couple drain holes in the battery tray, and I like the battery mat idea to keep it off the metal.

From the factory, the battery just sits on the painted metal. I usually coat it with undercoating before installing the battery.

I've never seen a battery without the notch for the mount.

There is a solid "tab" at the front of the battery tray to catch the forward battery notch.

There are already drain holes in the factory pan. Doesn't make a lot of difference, though.
