time to start working my 89, lot of little issues

just put my car back on the road last Wednesday. good news is it still runs good, sat all winter. i have a 89 RS 305

my agenda includes:
-new tires, thinking of cooper zeon zpt. they are piced at 110 per tire. h rated for 130 mph. anyone ever used them before? i bought a set of iroc 16" wheels
- have to fix my sagging drives side door. its really bad. i bought a greasable hinge kit from andyz28.com last year. havent had a chance to do it yet. this weekend i will hopefully get around to it. do i have to remove the door from the car to do it?
-drives side window is really sloppy(moves back and forth). need to fix this annoyance. what usually wears out to causes this and how do i fix it? its pissing me off
- getting water in car, front drivers side. i had my wife sit in the car to see where its comming from. i hosed the car down and had her try to see where its comming from. its comming from that triangular shapped peice in the front of the door/window. whats the easiest way to fix this one? is it related to the window movement?
-need new carpet. im thinking about getting a new carpet from camaro specialities. its a local classic industries dealer. is that the best source and what should i expect to pay for a complete carpet, front and rear? need to fix leak first.
-also want to get a performance chip. i see tbichips selling on ebay. 100 bucks for a chip for a 1989 camaro tbi 305. i have read that this guy makes the chips that work the best with our cars. i did a an iroc rear end swap(limited slip) and a performance exhuast including edlebrock tes headers and a 3" exhuast. i think a performance chip would help wake it up. the 305 still runs good so i dont want to swap it out yet.
- i would also like to fix that stupid tach. i installed a cheap sunpro tach a couple of years ago. but i would like the factory tach to work properly. it overeads badly.

i know that its not third gen related, but i think we should all celebrate the return of the camaro. its going to seriously outperform the mustang

That little triangle thing seals to the window with a rubber gasket that slides straight up and off. Dunno where to get them new, I found a good used one, installation was as easy as sliding it down. Your window moving may have damaged this piece. At this point, you might find it just as easy to find a better door.

the door itself is very solid, in fact the whole car is. no rust. i would like to repair the sloppy window, but i dont know whats wrong with it.

Re: time to start working my 89, lot of little issues

lemme rephrase: I've found it easier to replace an entire door than to work with the window hardware inside the door. While rare, it is possible to find doors from low-mileage, garage-kept cars that have been totalled.
