car stalls when turning

Whenever I make a really quick turn the car almost starts to stall out. I just put a new fuel pump and fuel filter in my car a few weeks ago. Also I just filled up the tank and it still does it. Any idea what could cause that?

Re: car stalls when turning

How low is your idle? Is it erratic? What shape is your power steering system in? How much PS fluid do you have? I have *heard* (so take it for what it's worth) that if your idle is low enough the power steering pump getting overworked can drag the motor down. Sharp turns demand more of the power steering pump. Hope it helps.

Re: car stalls when turning

My idle is pretty rough, I have a cam very similar to the lt4 hot cam with 1.6 roller rockers. I drove the car today and checked the power steering fluid and it was really low, so hopefully thats the cause. Thanks
