Newbie question for a 1993 "Pontiac Trans Sport" with a 3.8L engine...

Hello,

I dont know if anyone here could answer my question.

I bought a 1993 Pontiac Trans Sport with a 3.8L engine and I want to do a tune up. I was wondering, is their a distributor cap and rotor on these 3.8L? I know that yes on the 3.1 motor in these vans but doesn't know in the 3.8L and the minivan is not near me to check it out.

Thanks to whoever can confirm me on this before I got to the store so I doesn't look like a fool lol.

Well, those motors have a "Six-pack" coil setup. (Distributor-less ignition).
You can find the answers to your questions on the v-6 boards at: www.ls1tech.com The 93-02 F-bodies used a similar motor.
