Smog Pump Removal question

I'm looking to remove the smog pump from my 89 GTA and I was wondering if I will get a check engine light or a code for not having the connectors plugged into the air valve unit thing. TIA

Re: Smog Pump Removal question

No. I regularly take mine out and reinstall it for inspection., along with the AIR valve and associated plumbing.

Re: Smog Pump Removal question

Thanks for the replies. I did a search and the only info I could find with regards to removing the pump was drivability info and nothing about whether or not it would throw a code or check engine light. Thanks again and sorry if I asked a repetetive question.
