Re: choke light

The clicking is normal for the CC Qjet. IIRC, thats the MCS going through its self-check cycle. Something like that anyway. Mine did that as well.

Re: choke light

So you mean the ticking is coming from the engine and not the light flashing, correct? The ticking sound is the Fuel Mixture Solenoid in your Qjet. If you turn the ignition to "On" the ticking starts and lasts for several minutes. Why your light blinks is a mystery to me. Take off your air cleaner and see if the wire is hooked to the choke. There should be a constant voltage to the choke. You can take a test light and with the ignition to "on" check and see if your getting voltage.

Re: choke light

no but it wont stop, the choke light keeps flashing, and everytime the lights comes on it makes a click, but the light is what the problem is, why does it keep flashing ?

Re: choke light

ok the connection at the choke seems fine but with the key on theres only .8 volts there, does the car have to be running to check it ?

Re: choke light

So where's it ticking then? And how fast? And how fast is the light blinking?
Yes, the choke is not supposed to be heated until the engine is running.

Re: choke light

the ticking is coming from the dash it seems behind the light, the light flashes fast (a few times a second) and sometimes slower (one time a second) and very faint can only see it at night, i checked voltage with the car on and its just below 14 volts...

Re: choke light

Choke relay is behind the dash.
