Alright long story short but if you could help I am about to fire ball this thing in my own drive way and have it towed off.........
Car starts............
Okay it starts when it wants to, the battery is dead so with jump box hooked it will start after sitting for a while only like the computer looses its memory and then it fine
When it does start it will run at an idle as long as I let it however if I push the gas it sputters and tried to die let off and it goes back to an idle.......
if I shut it off it will not restart period until I unhook the jump box and let it sit a while.................
I have 42'ish PSI and the rail.............
have good spark and new plugs..........
so got mad and went to get tune up stuff
Now she has new distributor, plugs coil and wires cap and rotor however still does the exact same thing.............any ideas?
Oh for reference............she was running fine before I deployed she sat for almost 2 years without being started and now this.....oh yea and I cut out the cat..........initially she wasnt putting out any exhaust and would shut off as soon as she fired up so out with the cat that was glowing red now she will run at an idle all day long like I said just has "other issues"
Any ideas on what to check next?

All right bud here we go, its flooding itself out. It wont restart because the plugs are to wet with gas. After it sits a while the gas evaporates. Its probably got a leaking injector or the cold start injector. Check to see if its holding fuel pressure once you cut it off and if it doesnt its either a bad fuel pressure regulator or a leaking injector. Also pull the vacuum line off the regulator and see if theres gas in it, if so your regulator is bad.

Also anyone know what the injectors are supposed to see voltage wise.....I checked and they are see 9 volts on both banks........
I dont think its a flooded condition because for some reason my number one plug after cranking it forever came out dry.......starting to think that my injectors arent firing ..........now for some reason.. and yes the fuses are good....really peculiar

It's a 12 volt system. Injector are directly fused to battery power, should be 12 volts. You won't get 12 volts if the battery isn't full charged. These cars are designed to turn on electronically so no need to press on the "Air Pedal".
This isn't a TPI is it?

sounds to me like you are all gummed up from the gas sitting in it... You may have to go through and rebuild your fuel system.
If it sits long enough that may happen because the fuel pump check valve and the regulator would trap fuel between them. I pull my injector fuses and let it idle until it dies if I'm going to park it for a while.
Sorry yep its TPI..........and yea I am leaning toward either the injectors are clogged up or arent getting the voltage they want to open........going to try to get the voltage right first because I find it highly doubtful that all 8 injectors are clogged
