i have them for a 90 camaro and if you want you can buy the ones for your car. they get the entire year to you for about 15.00.
they are very long and if you are going to do some real electrical stuff - you need your own set. its about 35 pages long with color coding and everything.
they send them over the net so you can just download the pdf files from the original wiring chargs. http://www.wiring-diagram.com/purchase.htm
I have a auto shop friend that printed out the wiring diagram for my car now I need to do a spread sheet to put it into a simple format. Example pin 1 red with white pin 2 and so on. I have elected to go this direction as it is fairly costly to buy the harness for the conversion to the ls1
you might give a shout out to brad@larryselectricsite.com he does wireing harnesses cheep you could possible get the harness for 100-200 buck not for sure but i bought one for 350 with ecm and all new with gm color code and has heated o2 sensors and upgraded ecm for the 730 you might want to send him a tell . if i am wrong in posting this let me know. not sure if i could or not
OK I have now gone as far as I can with respect to the wiring info that i have found on this and I need to know about the ALDL dianostic plug. Do I need to replace it with one from the model year of the motor I am putting into the car or will the one in the car work. the car is a 92 firebird and the LS1 is out of a 2002.
Hopefully you are not butchering your SD TPI harness, but are using a common V6 harness as a start since the parts reused are the same
Anyways, the ALDL must be correct for the PCM you are using, so you need a OBDII connector to run the LS1 PCM. Do a google search or LS1tech search on that's pinout
Most of the tpi harness is reconnected into the ls1 harness i have a feww points that are not connected as in the connector that connects next to the pcm under the dash. there is on that is connection that connects to the fuel safety from the tpi motor that has a dark brown wire on the return have not found when that goes yet other than it runs in under the drive side next to the fues block. some of the others not connected yet are for the a/c system and the vss, data line, and so on. if i had to guess i am about half done.
OK now I will have to say where does it get connected (tan wire). This wire along with 6 others. I am not 100% sure of where they go.There is a dark green that I think is the temp sensor, a pink wire that went to the coil (thicker #10 ga) with a white wire possible this one is the tach, Pink with black is a ingector wire on the LS1 there is a left and right bank can I join both to the one orginal or do I need 2 feeds if I need 2 feeds can I use the pink wire.
NowI will have to say I can wire most things but auto wiring is new to me and when you do not understand what each wires funtion is it can seem rather difficult. So that said thank you to anyone with the answers much appreciated.
