Another EGR/Solenoid question...

Ok I know either or someone else has probably killed this topic already...but since i am have trouble finding a decent egr/solenoid that still work, not to mention a trustworthy place to do the work, i need to knwo is anyone knows how i can bypass the egr valve/solenoid atleast until i can get it replaced? Any help is very much appreciated...

You can just unplug the vacuum line from it. The ECM will set the CEL though.

but nothing will happen...i mean bad? because the CEL is almost always on because of it...

Will use more fuel, produce more Nox and run slightly hotter.

Well i just left it alone...i mean its annoying having to deal with it, but no reason to risk harming the motor over a stupid valve...so i will just have to see if i can find an egr vlave & solenoid...

Somebody here was selling a egr solenoid a week or so ago,only used it for 300 miles or something like that.Might want to do a search.Good luck

I have contacted several places today and have gotten several different part numbers, and none are available at all. I tried to call Car Quest to find out if they are really designing one, and could not get any info other than it is in development.
