drove my formula 600 miles this past weekend. key west for a few days =]
never thought it would make it but it did.
anyways on the way back i drove 130 miles without the oil cap on due to getting distracted topping my fluids off before i came back. no problems but it rained alot and im thinking about changing the oil because of moisture getting in there?
what do you guys think? thanks

I agree with Apeiron. I'd worry about contaminants. I think its too hot for moisture to even build enough to make a problem inside the engine. I'd also worry about some oil possibly spewing out. But just top it off and don't make a habit out of leaving the oil cap off...
Mods so far: MSD Cap and rotor, MSD ignition coil, Accel 8.8mm ignition wires, Hooker Super Comp Shortie Headers, Flowmaster 3in catback, underdrive crank pulley, BBK AFPR, custom cold air intake, NOS wet 125 shot, air foil and a lead foot! no E/T's yet. ...TURBO COMING SOON...Other mods include keyless entry and remote start, and Sequential Turn Signals. Ya lucky you didnt have oil ALL OVER the motor from it spewwing out. A little simple green or some kind of degreaser should take care of the cleanup. Probably should do an oil change to get the contaminates out. good luck!!

lol ive been thru alot with this car as far as parts failure. mostly this fuel pump problem. keep getting a ton of crap ones. thats my biggest worry but other then that id drive it anywhere i needed.
ive replaced so many parts on this car i can tell you that i havent replaced lol
I've done the same with my car. When I go on long trips, I usually have a "road side mechanic emergency bag" which consists of several small sensors that can easily go bad on a trip...like TPS, IAC, a stock blaster coil, a few sparkplug wires (incase some go bad/get ruined) and a few sparkplugs, oil, coolant, a few vacuum lines, some wire, a list of OBD1 codes, and of course, the infamous ignition module... this is all along tire changing stuff... I think when I get some time, I'm going to swap the hardlines for braided AN lines and start carrying an oem spec fuel pump incase the walbro dies away from home...

yeah i used todo that. not a bad idea. what i do now is couple quarts of oil, tranny fluid and two jugs of coolant. which all have came in handy.
